Update

We are delighted to let you know that we are now open for bookings from 22nd July.

Our management company Aonach Mor have taken stringent measures to provide a safe environment for holidays at Ardlui Lodge including increased levels of PPE for staff when they are cleaning the lodge and a ULV machine which sprays a fine mist of disinfectant over all surfaces and hard to reach areas before cleaning is done.

Aonach Mor have been in consultation with various tourist associations to ensure all cleaning and processes are of the highest standards – ‘We have now met the criteria to be certified by Visit Scotland for their ‘Good to go’ scheme and also the World Travel and Tourism Council ‘Safe Travels’ scheme. This certification means that we as a business have implemented health and hygiene protocols that comply with both government and industry guidelines and standards and should give confidence to guests that we are doing everything that is required of us to prepare their accommodation in the correct way for their arrival.’

Explore the Highlands

Loch Oich is part of the Caledonian Canal which is 60 miles long and connects the Scottish East Coast at Inverness with the West Coast at Corpach near Fort William. It was constructed in the early nineteenth Century by Scottish engineer Thomas Telford. Only a third of the Canal is manmade the rest is formed by the Lochs in the Great Glen.  There are 29 locks in the canal and a good example is to be seen at Fort Augustus which is 10 miles North of Ardlui Lodge.

We also welcome guests who enjoy winter sports.  Ardlui Lodge is 20 miles north of Aonach Mor and 27 miles North of Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the British Isles. For a longer trip Ardlui Lodge is 70 miles from the ski slopes at the Cairngorm Mountain Range near Aviemore.

For those who are interested in dining out there are two hotels within a few minutes’ drive – Glengarry Castle Hotel and Invergarry Hotel and there is also a small shop in the local petrol station near to the lodge on the Fort Augustus road.
